I Have My Own Path - My Path to Self

The young woman basks in the warmth of the light from within. Malcolm captures this moment of being extraordinary as the golden light overcomes her essence. No matter what seems to be the reality of the external life, she knows that the truth of the matter is she was born with magnificence. This amazing being has gone within, surrendered herself and turned to light of Spirit so that she may flourish.

Growth definitely requires pain. As one of my favorite singers Ledisi sings, “If I could, change my world it would be the same. There would still be love and pain. ‘Cus without it I would never change.” Change, or even better, transformation takes more than just reading some book, or listening to a speaker or preacher. True transformation occurs when you have developed and evolved into something different, something better. It’s not a thought or a notion, it is a state of being. Since we are all co-creators of our lives transformation has to begin with a decision and a deep dedication to being a better person.
We have to define for ourselves, what life is, and what about it is important to us. It takes having a lot of patience with ourselves as well as a mental/emotional cleansing.


I learned for myself that a lot of what I believed about life and the way to go about living it was basically what I was taught to think of it. Like all of us. But there came a point in my life where I began to hear a deeper voice, see a different side of life and recognize the vanity and selfishness comprised of mine. 
The sequences of my life, targeted societal roles, and established levels of "so-called" achievement were already laid out as my options. The way to go. The "Road to Success". The system of things. The way of the world. But I have discovered that my spirit has its own unique lane of travel. I have my own path! I am not an item in production traveling down the assembly line of life resulting in being a programmed finished product ready to perform my duty the way I trained. I just don’t fit the packaging. I decided to hop off the line once my flaws during early production were smoothed away, and after my head was attached, allowing the flow of free thought (I was evolving; transforming).


I find it astounding that we never really learn to, or are challenged enough to learn to simply think! I truly believe that if we all took time out to do that for ourselves and connect with and trust our inner voice this world would be a different place. More creativity would flow and life would evolve to a higher plane. Its easier to just fill our heads with what others think or thought decades or centuries ago. Its time to move forward so that we can move our lives forward instead of being in the same rut generation after generation. This is why I have name this place of growth and unity Guiding Evolution. Anything we put our attention toward will grow. And if we all put our attention toward our inner self and our healing we will grow and in turn guide our evolution, in a deeper spiritual sense. While at the same time the universe will continue to evolve and we will be more able to see the part that we play in it and how we can truly affect the world!
